Ilex Classics – Timeless strength, naturally grown

In the Green Heart of the Netherlands, we at Ilex Classics grow our ilex plants (holly) with love, care and deep respect for nature.

Our cultivation is chemical-free, sustainable and biodiversity-friendly. We create our own natural insecticides from plant-based ingredients and work with beneficial insects as natural allies. This allows our ilex to thrive into strong, healthy and pollinator-friendly plants, supporting bees, butterflies and other beneficial species.

The Ilex aquifolium, our native holly species, forms the foundation of our collection. From this ancient and resilient plant, we offer a wide range of cultivars and hybrid varieties, carefully selected for their beauty, growth habit and ecological value.

The deep red berries of the ilex are a valuable winter food source for birds, bringing color and life to every season. Each plant contributes to a vibrant, healthy ecosystem from private gardens to natural landscapes.

Since ancient times, holly has symbolized protection, strength and eternity. Even today, it brings peace, shelter and a touch of mystique to every green space.

At Ilex Classics, we combine this timeless symbolism with modern, natural cultivation methods. The result: not only beautiful plants, but a growing commitment to a greener, living and meaningful future.
